A survey of nearly 2000 grazing marsh ditches within the three large North Kent Marshes SSSIs in 1995 was combined with the 1993 ditch survey to provide a comprehensive dataset, which was used to assess the botanical interest of the ditches both on the level of the land owner and across the area as a whole. The large amount of survey data was also used to relate floristic diversity and species distribution to major physical factors such as salinity and adjacent land use. This work comprises a survey report and three volumes of sample data tables and maps.
