This report represents the fourth phase of a wider assessment to identify roost sites in the Severn Estuary SPA and provides information on waterbird high tide roosts in winter, and where sufficient information was available, spring and autumn passage, between Longney Sands and Beachley point.
The report provides evidence of the location and nature of wintering waterfowl high tide roosts, the assemblages associated with these roosts and the relative size and importance of the roost sites to key species, as well as any known disturbance activities around these roosts, between Oldbury (South Gloucestershire) and Frampton (Gloucestershire). The project covers BTO sectors on both sides of the estuary 14455, 15203, 15401, 1540, 15403, 15404, 15405, 15406, 15407, 15408, 15409, 15410, 15411, 15412, 15413, 15414.
