The aim of the project is to review the options for, and provide guidance on, the beneficial uses of dredged material for nature conservation. In addition, a case study is used to investigate the physical, chemical and biological nature of sediment in the south-eastern section of Holes Bay, Poole Harbour, Dorset, and assess its potential for beneficial uses for nature conservation.
