A two-day repeat survey of 10 trees in Dendles Wood was performed in 2011. Eight of the original quadrats (established in 1991) were recorded, whilst two were lost due to tree collapse. There was no significant decline in the populations of 10 target species since 1991. However, due to a lack of available habitat, the Lobarion community appeared very restricted in distribution at site, highlighting a need to establish baseline monitoring for these species. Although not explicitly included in the survey, notes (including photographs) were made for populations of Usnea articulata observed in the woodland.
