This colourful report describes the work undertaken over the past ten years to protect SSSIs and reflects on their future role in preserving the best of England’s biodiversity and geodiversity. It is hoped that it will inspire more people to take an interest in England’s natural treasures, be it an iconic national landscape or a local patch of nature.
