This report monitored the water beetles and snails at ten ditches to assess the impact of potential changes caused by compensation from an augmentation scheme; to compare the results with the 1991 baseline survey; to highlight any detrimental changes that could have been ascribed to the augmentation scheme or to insufficient water supply.
