Intended as a source of practical information on specific areas relating to the extraction industry and the water environment, this 1994 report considered some of the difficulties which were involved in relating hydrological and ecological change and includes a number of case studies. The annexe is restricted to surface mineral workings, ie where the material is extracted directly from the surface after removal of the overlying material.
